TurboVap® LV is a second generation product for solvent evaporation which builds on the solid foundations of the historic TurboVap product line and incorporates many new customer driven features. It still features the highly efficient patented gas vortex shearing technology, which is synonymous with the TurboVap brand.
Evaporation of up to 48 samples with independent control of flow in each row. Can be used in either 24 or 48 position mode. Compatible with tube sizes ranging from 10 to 32 mm (outer diameter) and from 32 up to 165 mm in length.
Acid resistant PTFE version available.
The new TurboVap® is designed around a common chassis with interchangeable accessories, allowing users to switch quickly between configurations for a wide range of sample sizes and applications.
TurboVap LV Multi racks allow a larger selection of tubes and vials to be evaporated from one rack based upon outer vial dimension. This saves storage space at a your facility and also negates the need for custom racks to fulfill non-standard vials designs.
Evaporation of up to 48 samples in tubes ranging from 10-16 mm (outer diameter), less than or equal to 45 mm in length, 10-20 mm (outer diameter), ranging from 75-165 mm in length. When operating in 24 position mode (by plugging 24 nozzles) the system can parallel process samples in tubes ranging from 12-30 mm (outer diameter), ranging from 75-165 mm in length. Independent row control (6 rows of 8 nozzles each).
Flow gradients within a method means that gas flow can be gradually increased as the evaporation cycle progresses. The low flow rate early in the process promotes gradual evaporation. As the sample evaporates and more space is available in the tube/vial, the gas flow can be increased to further speed evaporation. Evaporation proceeds optimally, avoiding splashing and eliminating the possibility of cross contamination.
Individual removable nozzles ensure that cleaning and maintenance in the instance of a blockage is easy and straightforward. Replacement takes a matter of seconds. Simplifying maintenance and reducing operating costs. Adjustable manifold nozzles ensure that optimum vortex shearing action and therefore evaporation speeds and recovery can be achieved. This adjustment can be made in real time during evaporation
Improved visibility with glass sides and see through lid means that sample visibility during evaporation and method set-up is no longer an issue. Color changing lighting ensures you know when sample evaporation is complete.
Color touch screen operation. Provides easy set-up and optimization of methods. Once the method is running, a clearly visible display screen and adjustable-volume alarm offer true walk-away operation, providing visual and an audible alert when a run has finished.
For challenging application involving the use of certain acids and bases a PTFE manifold version of the product is available, which features inert passivated nozzles to resist corrosion.
Easy water bath management. The drain port on system ensures that emptying and filling of the water bath is quick and trouble free. Makes it easy to change the heating bath water for system cleanliness without having to carry the unit to a sink (as with other evaporators)
Compact system with small footprint, you can fit three new TurboVap units in the space occupied by two classic style units maximizing valuable laboratory space.
