As a Senior Electronic Engineer, you take an integral part in the hardware development with focus on the electronic and electrical parts. You will work in project teams developing new and maintaining existing products as well as having personal tasks in maintaining existing products. 

Depending on the projects at hand, other tasks can also be a part of the role. If you also have experience from any other role such as embedded programming, it is a great benefit. Besides an electronics engineering background we value personal skills and based on your profile we can adjust the position accordingly.

The Senior Electronics Engineer reports to the Hardware and Architecture Manager and is based at Biotage Headquarters in Uppsala, Sweden.

Job Scope Outline

  • All parts of electronics design, preferably including layout, for the instruments
  • All parts of electrical design for the instruments
  • Perform technical reviews
  • Define and analyze technical requirements.
  • Design and drive testing for EMC compliance
  • Design for ISO 61010 compliance

Education and Experience

  • MSc in electronics engineering or similar education level.
  • At least 5 years of experience in electronics and electrical design of integrated mechatronic systems.
  • Professional experience designing according to regulatory standards such as IEC/EN61010, EMC and RoHS.
  • Thorough understanding of the interface of electronics to embedded microprocessors and software.

Desired Skills

  • Embedded development, preferably in C
  • A reliable team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in Swedish and English, written and verbally
