New Posters by Biotage R&D Presented at HPLC 2014

Four new posters by Biotage R&D and Application Scientists have been presented this week at HPLC 2014, New Orleans, LA, USA. 

The studies focus on clean-up of biofluids using different sample preparation techniques, and how sample preparation is an important aspect of any analytical method. A number of different approaches are covered that can be used to remove the major endogenous components - particularly proteins and phospholipids - and may impact the quality of HPLC methods and data.

P77 Sample Preparation and Protein: A Comparison of Protein Removal with Various Sample Preparation Techniques using Gel Electrophoresis
This poster uses gel electrophoresis data to visually illustrate the amount of residual protein in extracts prepared using protein precipitation, supported liquid extraction and various silica and polymer based SPE approaches.

P78 Effective Strategies for Phospholipid Removal using Polymer-based Solid Phase Extraction (SPE) and LC-MS/MS Analysis
This poster focuses on the different strategies that can be employed when using EVOLUTE SPE sorbents (with both single and dual retention mechanisms) to reduce or eliminate residual phospholipids in sample extracts.
