HR Manager, Cardiff

Biotage manufacturing site in Cardiff is looking for an HR Manager to successfully drive HR within the day-to-day business. Supporting the local managers and the employees in the areas of leadership, talent acquisition, organisational development, performance and employee engagement and labour law. The HR Manager in the UK will be responsible for HR activities at our facility in Cardiff with around 130 employees.

Job scope outline

The HR Manager role is broad, stretching over several functions and businesses, covering the whole employment life cycle. The position is responsible for local recruitment processes, onboarding, learning & development, organisational changes and local HR policies (according to corporate HR guidelines).

To be successful in this role, you will enjoy working closely with the business and understand how HR can add value to managers and employees.

Education and Experience

  • HR qualification (CIPD)
  • 5 + years of experience in a similar role as a HR Business Partner and/or HR Manager preferably in a manufacturing company.

Required skills

  • Experience from a manufacturing company
  • Good understanding of UK employment legislation
  • Coach and mentor local management providing guidance, support and advice in compliance with employment law, company policies and best practice employee relations.
